Getaway Sea Angling started as a branch of GetAway Tours – a Danish travel company with a long tradition of breaking new ground. Today, it is run by fishing guide and world traveller Robert Balkow out of Rügen in Germany. er – at the time – new destinations such as Malaysia, Cape Verde and Ascension Island. Our proudest achievement is when we back in 2007 started offering popping and jigging trips to our Scandinavian and German guests. Today, these trips are still the core of Getaway Sea Angling. Over the years, we have helped develop Panama's Tuna Coast, The Laccadives in India, and we were the first to utilize a fast speed boat for popping in The Maldives. We have always focused on offering relatively few destinations. Only the best of what we have visited is offered to clients, and when things change – and they always do – we are not afraid of leaving one destination and develop a more promising one.
