We hope you are all keeping well and surviving these troubled times.

We are glad to inform you that the government announced yesterday that they will be making changes to the Green List from Monday, 21st September.

According to the Irish Times this morning, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Iceland, Cyprus and Liechtenstein are to be added to the list with countries such as Finland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia remaining on it. Passengers from all of these countries can arrive in Ireland without having to serve the 14 day quarantine.

The Irish Times goes on to report that the Green List system will be scrapped by mid October and will be replaced by the EU-traffic light system, the precise details of which will be agreed upon at an EU Council of Minsters meeting on October 15th.

So this is good news (albeit it a little late) for our German friends but not so much for those of you in Holland and Switzerland. However, we just wanted to update you in the hope that maybe some bit of business could be salvaged at this late stage.

It also gives some hope for the 2021 season as we all now move on to a new stage of learning to live with it.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for your co-operation this year and for your patience, hanging on in there from month to month awaiting positive news from the Irish government. We know that this news may be a little too late but at least we can look forward with some hope for the future.
