Natural rubber is grown in regions like Indonesia — harvested by hand, by people, who are deeply connected to nature. 💚

As a founding member of the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR), we at Continental are proud to be among the first companies implementing the Shared Investment Mechanism. We are also acitively working on the new GPSNR Assurance System – a global framework that brings measurable, verified progress to the natural rubber industry.

In practice, this means:
📱Traceability across the supply chain
🌲Environmental protection through better land-use practices
👨‍🌾Support for smallholder farmers: This includes training, income stability, and biodiversity protection.
All this support is provided through the Shared Investment Mechanism, a collaboration funding model from GPSNR members that co-finances on-the-ground projects.

This is how we turn sustainability promises into real, on-the-ground impact – for people, for ecosystems, and for the future of mobility.
Our ambition is clear: From 2030 onwards, we exclusively want to source natural rubber for our tire production originating from responsible sources.

Continental proved resilient in the second quarter of 2025, with earnings in the Automotive group sector improving significantly. “We continue to see solid earnings in all areas. Our adjusted operating result and adjusted free cash flow increased year-on-year in the first half of 2025,” said CFO Olaf Schick.

Good things come in threes – a triple anniversary for A-Z Formen und Maschinenbau, our specialist in the development and manufacturing of high-precision molds and tools used in tire production 🎉

We celebrated this special occasion at the A-Z plant in Runding (Germany):
- 60 years of our Runding site
- 20 years of our plant in Horšovský Týn, Czech Republic
- 10 years as part of Continental

Together with more than 1,000 visitors, employees, and local representatives, we looked back with pride: 40 million euros invested since 2015 to modernize our production and expand our capabilities.

The celebrations featured guided tours with exclusive insights into mold manufacturing, live music from our in-house A-Z Band, and a public open house that welcomed the wider community for a day of discovery and interaction. 🧡

After eight successful years, Albert Kaiser will hand over the baton to Jürgen Ruhnau on September 1st. We thank Albert very much for his leadership and his dedication and wish both of them all the best for their new endeavors!
