Advent season in Zagreb

During the Christmas and winter time usually you spend your weekends in the mountains. But the southern part of Europe with Croatia is worth a visit during Advent. As a Christian-dominated country, tradition is still emphasized here, with Zagreb which offers great attractions for visitors during the Advent season.

There is the Christmas market in the Zrinjevac Park, which introduces the Christmas time for all the senses with the dreamy sounds of Christmas music and classic lighting. One attraction is the "Ad Gloriam brass ensemble", which plays classical music from the balconies of Zagreb. For the younger generation, the pedestrian zone European Square is a great place with numerous concerts, various attractions and exhibitions during the Advent season.

Other highlights for visitors to Zagreb during the Advent season are: a visit to the "Grič Tunnel" which is a must for romantic visitors. In the tunnel, a Christmas carol is told in a special way with light installations and 3D structures. For the whole family, the "Pop up Winter Garden" in Zagreb is an experience.
