We’re still here and definitely living our best life! ✨🏡🌎

Big news — we officially put down roots and purchased a home in beautiful Camden, SC! It’s the perfect spot with easy access to both Columbia and Charlotte airports… which means even MORE adventures are ahead! ✈️

This summer is shaping up to be full of quick getaways, road trips, and lots of concerts 🎶 Our teenage kiddos are all about shorter adventures these days, and honestly, we’re loving making those memories together.

Stay tuned as Tom and I continue chasing new places, good music, great food, and all the fun we can squeeze into this crazy beautiful life! ❤️

Wrapping up our trip in Charlotte, NC with an unforgettable night at the Dave Matthews Band concert! 🎶✨ Definitely a must-see experience. The vibes were positive, electric, and full of energy from start to finish. 🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, road trippers! If you’ve ever cruised down I-77 in North Carolina, chances are you’ve spotted this pirate-themed restaurant off the highway. After years of saying “we should stop there someday,” we finally dropped anchor and gave it a try for dinner! ⚓️

The food was good old Southern-style comfort cooking, and the inside was packed with pirate-themed decor from wall to wall. A little dated? Sure. But honestly, that just added to the quirky charm of the place. ☠️🍗

Sometimes the best travel memories come from finally stopping at those random roadside spots you’ve passed a hundred times. Have you ever eaten somewhere just because the theme pulled you in? 🗺️🍴

Dearest Gentle Readers,

This afternoon was delightfully well spent indulging in the most charming of pastimes — high tea, the art of proper fan etiquette, and the hopeful filling of our dance cards. ☕🫖✨

Between delicate cups of tea, sweet confections, and much laughter, we practiced the subtle language of the fan (who knew a simple flutter could say so much?) and prepared ourselves for the social season ahead. One must, after all, be ready when the quadrille begins and the dance cards come out. 💃

Should the ton be in need of ladies well-versed in tea, conversation, and just a hint of mischief, I dare say we are now fully prepared.

May your tea be hot, your gossip gentle, and your dance cards entirely full. 🎀

Tom and I are utterly disheartened by the sudden disappearance of Reynisfjara Beach. We were fortunate enough to have experienced the breathtaking beauty of this beach and were deeply moved by its unique energy. (Attached is my photograph) The distinctive black sand was unlike anything I had ever seen previously. “This winter, the shoreline near Reynisfjall has been unusually narrow, and erosion has begun to affect the area. A substantial amount of sand has been lost, exposing the basalt columns in the sea, with the erosion extending to the viewing platform. Furthermore, the ocean has redistributed rocks along the beach in a westerly direction,” observed Einarsson, a sixth-generation farmer at Þórisholt.
