You’ve seen most of the major sights in Berlin, right? I’ll take you further east to explore parts of Berlin most tours don’t take you. There’s a lot of depth to Berlin, and endless corners to explore.
On this 5 hour tour, we’ll head east down the main boulevard of Karl-Marx-Allee, stopping at notable sights and to admire the communist-era architecture. We’ll stop by the headquarters of the Stasi, one of the most feared and effective secret police forces in history, before heading further east to explore the sprawl of plattenbau, the prefabricated housing estates beloved by the GDR government, in either Lichtenberg or Marzahn. We’ll head further east and climb up for a view over east Berlin, before looping around and taking in other notable sights of East Berlin on the way back to the centre.
I’ll tailor the tour to suit you - we can skip some things and include extra things. We’ll cover a lot of ground, both on foot and on U-bahn and trams - a fantastic way to get around East Berlin - so wear comfortable shoes. I’ll give you tips for the rest of your stay in Berlin and will help you get to other places of interest. Basically, we’ll stop for the day when you’ve had enough!
