The Koutoubia Mosque is Marrakech’s most iconic landmark, built in the 12th century during the Almohad dynasty. Its elegant 77-metre minaret rises above the ochre city and has become a symbol of Marrakech. Surrounded by gardens and historic streets, the mosque exemplifies Almohad architecture and remains an important spiritual and cultural monument.
