When the pandemic broke out in 2020 and the usual platforms were only partially suitable or too expensive for our passion for living history, I came up with the idea of creating the international reenactment marketplace!
We are now entering our fourth season in 2024 and the marketplace is constantly being expanded and new ideas are being realised. It spans all eras of mankind. However, a marketplace only lives through the exchange of vendors and their customers.
The platform is something new and offers the opportunity to purchase products safely or to post private offers. The reenactment marketplace team always offers an escrow service and payments are processed securely via PayPal or Stripe to prevent any fraud. The marketplace covers all eras of human history and also offers the opportunity for its members to exchange information with each other using its own messaging system; purchases can be rated afterwards, as can the customers.
The platform can also be used simply to exchange information, find event information or swap information with like-minded people. You can also find information on the marketplace, e.g. about exhibitions, events, workshops, etc.
Just think of it as a mixture of Facebook, Etsy & Ebay...
