Today InMunich Tours is 10 years old! What an amazing and very hard working journey to get here... When Adam and Marcin decided to start this business adventure together in 2014 they had no idea how it would really all work out, but we knew we had to go for it, so we threw absolutely everything we had into the business.Through 10 solid years of tours we have taken 100s of thousands of people on 10s of thousands of tours in and around Munich. 2024 is gonna be massive! 😜

An ENORMOUS THANKS to the dozens of amazing guides who have worked with us to make all of this possible, and of course to the many, many customers that have joined us since March the 1st 2014. Big love to you all from Marcin and Adam!

On this day 90 years ago, March 22nd 1933, the Dachau Concentration Camp opened its doors for the first time. Over the 12 years of the genocidal N**i Dictatorship more than 200,000 people that we know of passed through its gates, and a minimum of 41,500 are known to have been murdered. It is certainly not lost on us as guides working there for the last 14 years, that the history of Dachau is unfortunately and frustratingly still very relevant to the world around us today. Extreme right wing eliminationist politics, the treatment of vulnerable minority groups, religious hatred, bigotry and racism certainly did not stop in 1945. Genocide, Torture, Slave Labour and Concentration Camps were not invented by N**i Germany. They all existed before in many different forms, and all continue to exist in the 21st Century.

Today we will be remembering the victims, and reminding the world that the history of Dachau is not just a reminder of the past, but a reminder for the present, and a warning for the future.

On this day 89 years ago the Dachau Concentration Camp opened its doors for the first time. Between March 22nd 1933 and April 29th 1945, the only Concentration Camp to exist for the entire 3rd Reich saw the murder of at least 41 and a half thousand people, and many 100s of thousands had their lives destroyed. Today we remembered all of those who passed through its gates, and through the more than 140 satelite camps it would later control.

The Ukrainian flag is hanging on the front of the Neues Rathaus at the Marienplatz in the centre of Munich. Kiev is one of Munichs twin cities. Our thoughts these days are fully with the brave people of Ukraine, and their fight against the invading Russian army and the impending oppression by Vladimir Putin and his Russian Federation.

A day of very relevant history and important education at the Dachau Memorial Site yesterday with a wonderful group from the United States. It is good to see tourism slowly creeping back in Europe again.

Great to fully visit the Dachau Memorial for the first time since my last tour there in September 2020. Tours are running there again, the Museum is open, and the place was packed full of German school groups. My first scheduled private tour is at the site at the end of August, and it will be really good to get back to such important and relevant education again!
