Reindeer facts you didn’t know you needed.

Did you know Santa’s reindeer squad is probably all girls? 💪 While male reindeer lose their antlers in winter, females keep theirs until spring. 🦌❄️🎅

Reindeer are everywhere up north, but they go by different names: Poro in Finland 🇫🇮, Ren in Sweden 🇸🇪, Rein in Norway 🇳🇴, and Boazu in the Sami language 🗣️.

Plus, they’ve got some super cool survival skills! Their noses aren’t just cute – they act like natural heaters, warming up icy air before it reaches their lungs and cooling it down when they breathe out. And those magical eyes? They change color from gold in summer to blue in winter to help them see better in the dark. Talk about nature’s night vision! 🌟👀

Sarah joined us in 2024 & is our online marketing expert. Besides that, she has plenty of experience in the tourism industry (fun fact: Carina & her went to tourism school together).
