International School Neustadt A full-day school, fostering each child's talents and passions from Cambridge Primary to A Level

With around 80 students from over 16 nations, ISN offers a caring family atmosphere both for expatriates and local families. Expatriate families enjoy the social network at ISN which eases integration into a new location, while local German parents benefit from the innovative educational program and English language instruction. ISN offers the Cambridge Primary and IGCSE (International General Cer

tificate of Secondary Education) programs, and is an accredited examination center for Cambridge International Examinations, offering the full range of English examinations. ISN's campuses include a number of adjacent vineyard villas and the school offers a full day program from 8am until 5pm. While the main language of instruction is English, German classes are also taught daily to all students from beginner to native-speaker level. Before- and after-school adult supervision is available each day to students from kindergarten up to grade 5. ISN also provides a wide range of after-school activities including music, drama, art and sports. The school is owned and managed by the famous Swiss education provider, SBW Haus des Lernens, which has over 40 years of experience in the field of private education, currently managing more than 10 schools throughout Switzerland and Germany. Some of the innovative approaches developed by SBW and implemented at ISN include personalized student coaching, autonomous learning and the development of learning skills.

Von tollen Gesangseinlagen und mitreißenden Gruppenauftritten über beeindruckende Klavierstücke und kreative Tanzperformances bis hin zu einer Kung-Fu-Darbietung und sogar einer tierischen Showeinlage – bei ISN’s Got Talent war für jeden etwas dabei.

Wir sind unglaublich stolz auf all unsere Primary Learning Partners, die den Schritt auf die Bühne gewagt, sich gegenseitig unterstützt und die Vielfalt der Talente an unserer Schule gefeiert haben. 💛

Unsere Lernpartner:innen aus den Early Years, Reception, Year 1 und Year 2 verbrachten einen erlebnisreichen Tag im Kurpfalzpark.

Zwischen Natur, Tieren und Abenteuerspielplätzen wurde geklettert, entdeckt und ausprobiert. 🐾🌳

Ob beim Erkunden der Umgebung, beim Spielen oder beim gemeinsamen Meistern kleiner Herausforderungen – überall standen Freude, Neugier und das Miteinander im Mittelpunkt.

Ein Tag voller Bewegung, neuer Eindrücke und schöner gemeinsamer Momente. 💛

Wandern, Klettern und Raften!
Unsere ISN 6-9 Kasse haben eine Woche in Morzine, Frankreich verbracht. Nach einem langen Schuljahr an neuen Freunden, neuem Wissen und Erlebnissen, schliessen wir nun das Jahr mit Spaß, Bewegung und viel Gelächter ab!

Bewegung steht neben Bildung, Vertrauen und Zusammenabreit bei uns, an wichtigster Stelle und nach so einem Trip sind Beziehungen zwischen unseren Schüler/innen und unseren Lehrkräften noch einmal stärker geworden. Dies ist einer der wichtigsten Voraussetzung für unsere Arbeit in dem nächsten Jahr, um unsere Schülerer/innen zu unterstützen, auf ihrem Weg in die Zukunft.

Hiking, Climbing, and Rafting!
Our ISN year 6–9, spent a week in Morzine, France. After a long school year filled with new friends, new knowledge, and new experiences, we are now wrapping up the year with fun, physical activity, and plenty of laughter!

Alongside education, trust, and collaboration, physical activity holds a place of upmost importance for us. After a trip like this, the bonds between our learning partners and our teachers have grown even stronger. This is crucial, as one of our most vital foundations for our work in the following year, is their trust in us, in order to support them, as they embark on their journey into the future.

🌍 Lernen, entdecken, gemeinsam wachsen ✨

Im Rahmen ihrer Global Perspectives Unit zum Thema Energie machten sich unsere Lernpartner:innen aus Year 4 und 5 auf den Weg in die Eifel.

Am Heimbach Hydroelectric Power Plant erlebten sie hautnah, wie Wasserkraft funktioniert, und setzten sich mit nachhaltiger Energie auseinander. Umgeben von der Natur des Nationalparks wurde Lernen hier ganz praktisch und lebendig. 💧🌿

Auch das Miteinander stand im Mittelpunkt:
Bei einer Teambuilding-Aktivität in der Jugendherberge Gemünd Vogelsang stärkten die Lernpartner:innen Kommunikation, Zusammenarbeit und Gemeinschaft. 🤝

Eine Reise voller neuer Eindrücke, gemeinsamer Erlebnisse und besonderer Momente. 💛

As part of their Global Perspectives unit on energy, our Year 4 and 5 learning partners travelled to the Eifel region.

At the Heimbach Hydroelectric Power Plant, they discovered how hydroelectric power works and explored the importance of sustainable energy — all while learning in the beautiful surroundings of the national park. 💧🌿

The trip also focused on building strong connections:
During a teambuilding activity at Jugendherberge Gemünd Vogelsang, learning partners developed communication, collaboration and a sense of community. 🤝

🧪 STEM Like a Girl an der ISN – Chemie macht Spaß ✨

Und hier kommt ein weiterer Einblick aus unserer STEM Like a Girl Woche in diesem Schuljahr:

Unsere Lernpartner:innen aus Year 3, 4 und 5 tauchten dabei in die Welt der Chemie ein.

Unter Anleitung unserer Mädels aus Year 6 entstanden bunte, sprudelnde Bath Bombs – und ganz nebenbei wurde die chemische Reaktion dahinter verständlich erklärt.

Mit viel Engagement führten sie durch das Experiment, beantworteten Fragen und machten naturwissenschaftliches Arbeiten greifbar.

Die jüngeren Lernpartner:innen konnten selbst aktiv werden, ausprobieren und staunen – und erfuhren dabei, dass Science Spaß macht und für alle da ist. 💛

Our Year 3, 4 and 5 learning partners explored the world of chemistry through hands-on experiments.

Guided by our Year 6 girls, they created colourful, fizzy bath bombs while learning about the chemical reaction behind them.

With enthusiasm and confidence, they led the experiment, answered questions and made science tangible for younger learners.

The younger learning partners explored, experimented and discovered that science is fun and for everyone. 💛

🌋 STEM Like a Girl an der ISN ✨

In diesem Schuljahr hat unsere STEM Like a Girl Woche einmal mehr gezeigt:
Neugier beginnt oft mit einem Experiment. 🔬

Dabei übernahmen ältere Schülerinnen aus Year 6 die Rolle von Science Guides und führten unsere jüngeren Lernpartner*innen durch verschiedene Experimente.

Ob Geheimschriften mit Zitronensaft, bunte Lava-Lampen oder kreative LED-Karten – überall wurde ausprobiert, erklärt und gestaunt. 💡

Dabei ging es um mehr als nur Experimente:
Die Mädels zeigten, wie viel Freude es macht, Wissen zu teilen und andere für Naturwissenschaften zu begeistern.

Eine wichtige Botschaft blieb dabei immer im Mittelpunkt:
Science lebt von Neugier, Talent und Leidenschaft – nicht vom Geschlecht.

Curiosity often starts with a simple experiment. 🔬

During the week, our year 6 female learning partners stepped into the role of science guides, leading younger learning partners through a variety of hands-on experiments.

From secret messages with lemon juice to colorful lava lamps and creative LED cards, the week was filled with curiosity, discovery, and excitement. 💡

Most importantly, our girls showed how inspiring it can be to share knowledge and spark interest in science.
