A Taste of SY Life! 🎉

Yesterday, the year 5’s took part in 4 taster day lessons which included Maths, Science, English and Social Science.

They also got to know our Secondary staff and spent their breaks and lunchtime with the Secondary Years learning partners and really settled in well in the short time they were with them.

They enjoyed the day, made some great memories, and are now even more excited for what’s ahead next year! 🌟

Making Dreams Come True in Stuttgart 🚗

Our learning partner Tommy and his parents organized something truly special for 17-year-old Kilian and his family.

Kilian has been bravely battling cancer since the age of 2 and as a true car lover, his biggest wish was to explore the world of Porsche and Mercedes.

Thanks to Tommy’s family, Kilian’s dream came true. He and his family were invited to spend three unforgettable days in Stuttgart, diving deep into the world of high-performance cars and creating lasting memories.

Tommy has been thoughtful and reflective ever since — and he’s doing wonderfully with Kilian by his side. 💙

Moments like these remind us what truly matters.

🎓✨ Farewell, Primary! ✨🎓

Last Friday, our Year 5 learning partners celebrated the end of their Primary School journey. Next school year, they’ll be stepping into the Cambridge Secondary Programme.

During a heartfelt ceremony, each learning partner took the stage to share their biggest success and their most memorable experience. It was an emotional and proud moment for them, their parents, and their teacher, Leanne. 💛

Our Head of Primary, Eileen, presented each graduate with a certificate of achievement. One of the highlights was when the parents came forward to read “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss - a beautiful reminder of all that lies ahead. 📖🌟

What a wonderful way to mark this special milestone! 💐🎉

Last Friday, our school community came together for a delicious BBQ. It was such a great — and yes, very sunny — afternoon! ☀️

The event was organised by our wonderful Primary Years Student Council with the support of our Parents and Friends group, bringing everyone together to eat, laugh, and chat.

A big thank you to everyone who attended - especially to those who brought one of those delicious side dishes! 😋🥗

We are so grateful for this warm, welcoming, and diverse community.

What fun it was! 💛

The 28th Hambach Music Festival starts tomorrow! 🎶

The Hambach Music Festival was founded in 1997 under the artistic direction of the Mandelring Quartett and has developed into an international chamber music festival.

On Saturday at 19:30 p.m., the festival concert “The Golden Years” will take place in theSaalbau Neustadt. And for this there is a great offer:

Visit to the Local Animal Shelter 🐾

Today, our Year 3 learning partners visited Tierheim Neustadt/ Wstr. to learn about the incredible work being done to care for animals in need.

They were warmly welcomed by Werner Bösel, the chairman of the association, who generously took the time to show the children around and explain the shelter’s important mission.

The learning partners absolutely loved the experience - and they even got to pet some of the animals! 🐶🐱

In addition, they delivered a collection of much-needed items they had gathered in advance to support the shelter. 💛

A heartfelt thank you to Tierheim Neustadt for this inspiring and educational visit!

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Assessed Journey

Our learning partners had worked hard during the previous months to learn lots of new skills to many of them. Navigation, use of a compass, identifying bearings and pacing out distances between checkpoints, basic campcraft, first aid and so on and at last, the time was here to assess the team on how they could navigate their way through a series of predesignated checkpoints successfully and to survive a night in an unknown campsite.

With Kjersten and Arvid watching and giving occasional tips, the team set off. Despite a few small mistakes (and chilly temperatures!), they corrected course, set up a solid camp and kept morale high. Special shoutout to Luis and Nicolas for getting the fire going!

Tired but determined, the group hit all the checkpoints the next morning and made it safely back to school - a fantastic team effort from start to finish.

A huge thank you to Arvid and Kjersten for their support and guidance. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Well done, guys! We are very proud of each and every one of you! 🙌

Battle of Words – U20 Poetry Slam State Championship in Neustadt! 🎤

The historic vaulted cellar of Heim'sche Privat-Sektkellerei GmbH transforms into a stage for the brightest young poetry slam talents from Rhineland-Palatinate! As part of the official State Championships, this U20 event promises a night filled with powerful words, raw emotions, and explosive creativity.

Hosted by RPTU and the Zentrum für Kultur- und Wissensdialog (ZKW and moderated by Markus Becherer, creative coach and two-time state poetry slam champion.

Last week, Year 6, 7 and 8 learning partners took their English lessons outside and explored scenes from Macbeth and Twelfth Night in the nearby park! The wide open space was the perfect stage!
