Since this time my dream was to build a A320 Cockpit as real as it get´s. I fly at the onlinenetwork IVAO under the Callsign CFG680 for the virtual Airline Condor-VA. If you have any questions about me, this project or other things don´t hestitate to contact me.

Hello together,

this is the first and only post this year. I'm sorry that there is no news about the project at the moment and apart from a few curbs around the house, not much has really happened.

But I want you to know that the Homecockpit project is still alive and I am still pursuing this dream.

Unfortunately, the Corona pandemic still has us in its grip and the year was not one of ease for us aircraft builders either.
But I don't want to bore you with negative headlines, because there are other news anyway.

My long-time partner and I got married this year and spent a wonderful day surrounded by friends and family. We enjoyed ourselves as much as we could and last but not least, an electric car came to our yard for the first time. A whole new experience I would say.

I wish us all good health, success and good company in 2022 in everything we do.

Until next year and thanks to you all,

Dennis

Four years ago I had the idea to build my own cockpit.

A lot has happened in that time:
I bought the first parts for the cockpit
The foundation stone for the cockpit building was laid
And the building itself is almost completed under construction

In these four years the church here on this site has grown to over 1000 people who accompany me in this project.

For your interest I would like to say thank you.

Special thanks to my future wife who never left my side and always supported me actively. Even when we bricked the walls in the middle of the night she was in a good mood and helped me where she could. I love you darling.

There is still a lot of work to do:
The interior of the building has to be finished
Electrical installation
Insulation can be installed
floor is tiled and walls are plastered
And then it can finally go to the actual construction of the cockpit

I would be glad if you are still interested in this project and remain with flying greetings until then,

Your Dennis

We are now over 900 people following this project and this is absolutely amazing. Thank you for your interest.

I’ve bought a Raspberry Pi 4 and trying some things on it. In the future it could be helpful in the cockpit maybe.

See y’all.

Sometimes it is the little things that make a big difference...

That’s why my girlfriend and I spontaneously painted the cockpit shed.

Furthermore, the down pipes were connected to the gutter, so the roof drainage is finished.

By the way, this site now has over 800 Likes, for which I just want to say thank you.

Hi dear friends of aviation and flight simulation.

As already announced in my previous post I wanted to provide you with news. First of all thanks for your support and the 700 Likes here on this site. I never expected that and while creating this page I thought: "Well maybe some of you like what I am doing here.“

Well then:
As you all know, the current Corona pandemic is holding the world in its grip and it hasn't left us at Airbus unaffected. As you have certainly learned from the press, a lot of jobs are at stake and I don't want to say with absolute certainty: "It won't affect me, despite my almost 20 years of service.“

Because of this uncertainty, and believe me it's really stressful, I have decided together with my girlfriend to let larger projects rest for the rest of the year and to use the money a little more economically.

It does not mean that I will give up the cockpit completely. It will only shift further backwards. And if we are honest, a project like this is also a life task.

Why am I telling you this? Well on the one hand I see this site as a hobby of mine to bring flight simulation closer to other people and to inspire them. On the other hand I would also like to keep you as a community up to date on the current state of the project.

In this sense I wish you all good health and a good start into the next week.

With aeronautical greetings,

Dennis

About 4 weeks ago we prepared the insulation consisting of edge insulation strips and insulation boards for the screed.

This was then transported to our house a few days later with a machine under high pressure and then laid and smoothed.

After a drying time of about 21 days we could stand on the new floor for the first time and here is the result:

Hello my friends,

in the last days we had our carpenter visiting us, who installed the entrance door and the window for us. Now the house is protected from wind and weather.

In the next days we will finally start with the screed.

Until then,

Dennis

Howdy, dear friends,

First of all I would like to welcome our five hundredth member. Your support is simply incredible, a big thank you for that.

You surely noticed that there are new albums on the site. I took the trouble to sort all the pictures into subcategories. So it will be easier for you to find photos on certain topics in the future.

I hope this is to your satisfaction and I only say this much in advance: Something is happening at the project...

So you can be curious how it will go on.

Until then all the best,

Your Dennis
