It’s race day at Challenge Roth! 🌅💪
Our team was up bright and early—VIP tent stocked with food and coffee, and staff ready at 4AM to greet athletes and get them to T1 on private buses.

The weather is perfect—no rain, light breeze, and a high of 79°.
It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable day on course.

File this under "you gotta see it to believe it." The famous "Solar" Hill (Solar Berg) from Hilpoltstein is a 1.1km climb with an average 4.7% gradient that you might miss 364 days of the year. It's quiet and peaceful. And no match for a muscular German sports car.

But one day of the year, landing on Sunday, July 6 this year, the Solar Berg is where you DREAM of being as a triathlete. Pros and age groupers alike are in awe of its presence. With many thousands of cheering fans, lined up 10-deep, all the way to the top on both sides of this climb, the quiet Solar Berg comes to life for Challenge Roth.

Competitors say that you will hear it before you see it, as you round the corner and make the right turn it comes into sharp focus. Your senses are heightened. The crowd creates an absolutely electric atmosphere. And as you climb and climb, you can feel just how much they want you to succeed. You can't wipe the grin off your face as you take it all in.
