🚨 ASB GlassFloor in WIRED – A Dream Come True! 🗞️✨

Being featured in the renowned WIRED Magazine has always been a big dream for our CEO Christof Babinsky – and now it has become reality! 🙌

This recognition shows: ASB GlassFloor is more than just a playing surface – we are a global innovation leader in professional sports.

What started in 1965 as a drywall construction company in Germany has evolved into a high-tech brand:

🏀 LED courts that look like real hardwood – and can transform into animated surfaces at the push of a button.

🔍 New possibilities for game analysis, health tracking, and fan interaction.

🌍 Used by numerous NBA teams in Orlando, at the U19 World Cup 2023, the NBA All-Star Weekend 2024, and by top clubs like Bayern Munich.

The WIRED article is another milestone – and we’re convinced: this is just the beginning.

A milestone for ASB GlassFloor!

This Sunday, the first-ever international volleyball match on our glass floor took place at the sold-out BMW Park in Munich – a high-profile showdown between Germany and World Champion Italy, witnessed by over 6,500 fans.

René Beck, Commercial Director of the German Volleyball Federation (DVV), summed it up perfectly: “This match was a true highlight – not just athletically, but also in terms of presentation. With the innovative glass floor technology, we enhanced the game with stunning visuals – from animated player entrances and waving flags during the anthem to live point animations. It was an extraordinary experience for both players and fans. This game clearly showed the potential of this technology.”

It’s exciting to see the ASB GlassFloor being used for international top-level volleyball. Congratulations to the DVV for creating such a dynamic and visually stunning event.

Last week at the ASB GlassFloor Athletes Lab in Orlando, we hosted 75+ college coaches during the Head Coach Training Center Conference and unveiled our latest collaboration with ShotTracker.

We showcased next-gen skill development tools built into GlassCourt OS—the operating system that powers the ASB GlassFloor. With just an iPad, coaches can design custom drills, set plays, and build full practice plans using the PlayBook app—then bring them to life directly on the court.

With real-time ShotTracker data now integrated into the floor, coaches can literally walk through performance metrics—seeing shooting percentages, player movement, and more, visualized right on the surface.

This is the future of training: smarter coaching, better data, and an elevated athlete experience.

Can a hockey ball damage our glass floor? 🏑💥

We recently got this question — and while we were pretty sure the answer was no, we figured: why not have a little fun proving it?
So we gave our colleague Jack a golf club, a hockey ball, and one simple task: hit it as hard as you can straight at one of our glass panels.
He didn’t hold back. Multiple swings. Multiple impacts.

The result? 💪 No cracks. No damage. Just another fun test — and a good excuse to swing a club at the office.

What a night!

Thank you Head Coach Training Center and ShotTracker for teaming up with us to bring the Thursday Night Mixer to life at the ASB GlassFloor Athletes Lab.

From thoughtful insights by Christof Babinsky (ASB GlassFloor) and Davyeon Ross (ShotTracker), to real-time demonstrations of player tracking, visual data integration, and dynamic floor feedback – this was innovation in action.

Coaches and leaders from across the sports tech space came together to connect, test the ASB GlassFloor and GlassCourt OS firsthand, and explore what’s next for high-performance environments.

Great energy, great people, and a shared vision for the future of performance environments.
