We’ve finally made it home safe. Shy under 4000 miles.
More tyre problems yesterday meant a bit of a detour to Luxembourg City BMW Motorrad. Was hoping to get home without changing them. But they were getting a little thin.
We finished last night in Ypres with the last post and our last supper.
Thanks Simon it was a fantastic trip with so many memorable moments. Looking forward to the next one. Perhaps Sierra!!!!

Good evening bike fans. We are safe in our accommodation. We have two nights here. A ride out to Passo Del Stelvio beckons tomorrow. It is the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps. We thought we would miss it. But it was open from today, luckily for us, two weeks early.

Today we visited the magnificent Franzensfeste Fortress. Built in 1833. And used in the Second World War
it was worth a look to break up the day.

The mercury today hit 34 degrees. Not to bad when your riding, but a little uncomfortable when stuck in traffic.

After an early start and a very warm morning, we have seen some amazing roads and views. First riding up the old Gerlos pass then onto the main Gerlos pass, as the weather was getting hotter 🥵 we decided to stop in at a Lidl and buy some Eggs for our meal tonight 😀😂 Then from there we made the trip up Grossglockner. We are now safe at our beautiful house for one night tonight, time for Tea 😀😀

Really day 10 already ! We are half way. Just over 2000 miles completed.
We’ve done a little border hopping today. We started out in Austria 🇦🇹 this morning and headed towards Slovenia 🇸🇮 taking in the Triglav National Park. Hairpins on cobbles not for the feint hearted, but fortunately the promised thunder and lightning didn’t materialise.
We have now border hopped again and are currently sitting in our apartment in a small village called Dogna just inside of Italy 🇮🇹
The last pass was a bit hairy. lôf di Montasio
Eight miles of single track windy roads, blind to oncoming traffic. Fortunately we only met a few fellow bikers.
So pleased to say we are safe after our 161 mile day
