Religion in Greenland 🙏

Religion has played an important role in Greenland’s history and culture.
Today, most Greenlanders are members of the Lutheran Church of Greenland.
Christianity was introduced to Greenland around 1000 AD with the Norse settlers and became more firmly established after missionary Hans Egede arrived in 1721.

Before Christianity, Greenlandic Inuit had a spiritual tradition closely connected to nature, animals and the spirit world✨
