Albatros Adventure Marathons was established with the success of our very first running event in 1999, The Great Wall Marathon. Today, we organize 9 annual races, each characterized by locations of exceptional natural beauty and historic significance. You did it! You took on the Icefjord Midnight Marathon, and not only did you run a half or full marathon, but you also completed it under the midnight sun, in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth.

After all the preparation, the waiting is almost over. Tomorrow night, you will take on the Arctic, running under the never-setting midnight sun along the breathtaking Ilulissat Icefjord 🌊☀️

Today is your chance to slow down, recharge, and soak in the atmosphere of Ilulissat. Take time to explore the town, enjoy the views, and rest your legs before the challenge ahead.💛

We will see you this evening for the race-briefing and pasta dinner.

Yesterday, runners from around the world took on the legendary Great Wall Marathon, tackling 5,164 stone steps, pushing across ancient paths, and racing through one of the world’s most iconic courses on the historic Great Wall of China.
