We might as well admit it: We have quite a few quirky traditions in Denmark. For instance, we have these special letters that we send out around Easter that we call 'gækkebreve'. 🐣
Sending a letter is a very personal gesture because we cut the paper in a variety of patterns. The text itself has to rhyme, and the sender signs the letter by spelling out its name in dots, so the recipient has to guess who send the letter. If the recipient guesses correctly, he will receive a chocolate Easter egg. If he is mistaken, he has to buy the sender one. (Forget the lottery, these letters are high risk, high reward! 🎰)

The Københavns Museum is the local history museum of Copenhagen. It is a small museum but fun to visit. It's free on Wednesdays.

It has only been open since early February 2020 and like all museums in Denmark is now closed again until end of March 2020.

The Medical Museion is the medical history museum of the University in Copenhagen with interesting exhibitions on medical instruments and diseased body parts.

It is unfortunately closed, like all museums in Denmark, until at least the end of March 2020.
