👑The Royal Library Garden in Copenhagen was laid out in 1920 by the garden architect Jens Peder Andersen and palace architect Thorvald Jørgensen on top of Christian IV's former war port, Tøjhushavnen.
👑As a reminder, a small basin is located in the middle of the garden. Furthermore, the garden's former maritime function is revealed by the fact that old mooring rings for 16th and 18th century ships are built into the masonry at the end of the garden.

💥Today, 14 January 2025, we mark the first anniversary of Denmark getting a new king King Frederik X and thus a new royal couple.

💥At the same time, it is a special occasion to honor Queen Margrethe II, who abdicated and handed the throne to her son.

🎇 The Queen's Margrethe II New Year's speech on 31 December 2023 will forever stand as a historic event. In the middle of the speech, H.M. Queen Margrethe II said that she wanted to leave the throne to her son H.K.H. Crown Prince Frederik.
💥On 14 January 2024, he was officially proclaimed as Denmark's new king, Frederik X, on the balcony of Christiansborg Castle. It was exactly the same date and place that H.M. Queen Margrethe II was proclaimed Queen in 1972.

🔶Queen Margrethe has been regent for Denmark for 52 years. Now it is the turn of a new generation to carry on the legacy. King Frederik X is a popular figure, enjoys great trust among the Danish people, and we are sure that he will continue to rally the nation around the royal house.
