Getting from Detroit, Michigan to New Orleans Louisiana could not have been more fun and unique. I had my fill of bourbon, live music, open country roads and southern comfort food – that is what I call a vacation!

So, funny story... Today, I plugged in my tiny $10 Walmart hair dryer to a German outlet and had FLAMES come out of the end onto my hair. Its powerful over here. Dry hair with caution.

I wanted to get out of the smog this weekend in Beijing so I took a trip to nearby Shidu! This place is the "Guilin of the north" with the beautiful karst hills and rivers. I met 12 biology graduates on the bus over and we spent the whole weekend playing games and eating great Chinese barbecue!
