It's been a while but let's try restart in 2024. I will do my best to share trip reports. Starting out 2024 with a new website layout and a new article on "Looking back at 2023":

Hello world, It's been a while. This time I will make a real effort to get back to writing. I will start the year with a little overview of my travels from 2023. So if

TOP 5 HISTORICAL SITES | over the next few weeks I've decided to share my on several categories.

No. 5 is in my birth country Bosnia & Herzegovina ❤ the old town in Mostar is so charming. Even though the old town is somewhat small it is worth a visit and believe me you won't regret it. Mostar is actually, in my opinion, the most picturesque place in the whole country, so many beautiful corners.
The historic town or as I stated the old town, spanning a deep valley of the Neretva River, developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town and during the Austro-Hungarian period in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The city is actually named after the famous old bridge. Stari (old) Most (bridge) = Mostar.

I would recommend you to visit the town during the yearly jumping from the old bridge or during the Red Bull Cliff Diving. Even though it is super crowded it's a really nice atmosphere.

PS. I apologize for this week's delay 🥰

K L A M P E N B O R G | yesterday, was such a lovely day. My cousin and I went on a bike sightseeing tour. The weather was amazing 😍🌞 it almost felt like being abroad. We stopped by the Charlottenlund Fortress, Dyrehaven, Eremitageslottet, Bellavue Beach and Hellerup Havn 😍

I love Denmark, especially when the sun is shining 🌞.

TOP 5 FAVORITE CITIES | over the next few weeks I've decided to share my on several categories.

No. 1 is in USA. You might be surprised by my choice but this city is just amazing. I know it's not the most cultural or historic city but it has everything. The city never sleeps.

I've visited New York three times and each time it has been a different experience. I really love New York, it's a city where you simply can't get bored. There're so many things to see and do here. So many museums, yes I'm that kind of person. I love visiting museums but in New York, I could spend time only visiting one after another as there are so many interesting museums in this city.

Last year, I surprised my dad with a trip to New York as one of his biggest dreams was to visit the States but I knew he would never go unless I took him there. Showing my dad around in New York, showing him all it's corners, walking 25km daily, riding around the city, watching NBA games, showing him my passion for travelling was indeed something special. He finally understood my passion for travelling as he could see the sparkle in my eyes when we walked down the avenues with a to-go coffee.

I generally love visiting the states as it's such a diverse country with so many things to see. There are big cities, beach life and not to forget the many beautiful national parks. I should have been to Chicago earlier this year but due to covid, my trip was cancelled. 🙏 hopefully it'll be possible next year ♡

No. 3 is in Palestine. First time I visited Jerusalem was in January 2012, a one day trip from Egypt. We were swept away by its beauty and by its soul. First thing my friend and I did when we returned home was to book a trip to the holy land. We would go again in August the same year. Jerusalem is a very small city. It's old. It's full of history. It's charming. However, it also has some bad sides. The bad sides are rather sad than bad, and that are basically the checkpoints. The treatment of certain groups of people. The inequality.

No. 4 is in Portugal. I was not sure on whether to select Budapest over Lisbon but I ended up selecting Lisbon. I had absolutely no expectations for the city even though I've heard many different opinions. Lisbon is simply a very cozy city. I love the old part of the city, so charming (I guess you can say the same about Budapest 😅). Another thing that made me go with Lisbon was the culinary scene. For me, food is very important when travelling. Lisbon has some amazing cafes and restaurant and so vegetarian friendly 🤤😍 and best part is, it's crazy cheap.

The main reason to go with Lisbon over Budapest was that it's a more charming city - even though I love Budapest. Ending with this phrase, we can conclude that 4.place is shared between the two 😅

Which one's your favorite?

I must admit, this was quite a challange. Selecting cities is tough. I've visited so many cities, big and small. Each one has something unique to offer. I had a list of 20 cities which I had to narrow down. I'm still not quite sure of my ranking or my selection of top 5 cities. However, here's what I ended up with 🙈

No. 5 is in my birth country Bosnia & Herzegovina. This is without doubt the city I've visited the most during my lifetime. Compared to many cities I've visited it's quite small but the city has a soul. I love the clash of modern and old in this city. I love the cobblestone streets in the old town. The many special stores. The golden street. The fact that you can easily escape to the surrounding mountains if you've had enough of crowded streets and noise. My recommendation is to visit Sarajevo during the holy month of Ramadan or during the Sarajevo Film Festival. You'll understand why ♡
