Today is International Mother Language Day, so we will share a few fun facts about the Danish Language.

✏️ Only around 6 million people worldwide are native Danish speakers. In comparison almost 400 million people have English as their first language.
✏️ Every year we choose the word of the year. Last year it was Kyiv and the year before Coronapas (Covid passport)
✏️ Even in a small country like Denmark, we have dialects to the degree that Islanders, Copenhageners and Jutlanders sometimes have difficulties understanding one another.
✏️ We have 28 letters in our alphabet, which ends with Æ, Ø, Å.
