Brigantine Neptun is a non-profit sailing community with the mission to provide adventure and sail training experience for our non-profit association members.

Anyone can become a member with just a few steps! Are you coming? Brigantine Neptun is an offspring of the nonprofit organization Neptun in Marstal, Denmark. We sail to provide an adventure and a sail training experience to our nonprofit members. Anyone can sign up as a member of our organization, and join us on our journey around the world!

Why did you decide to join Neptun?
The organisation and this ship is dear to my heart, I’ve been here from the beginning and I love what it stands for. I jumped at the opportunity to join crew for the year as soon as I could.

What’s your favourite thing about Neptun so far?
The unique life experience this ship brings, I enjoy the tight knit community that the crew creates on board. This means that even in the tough times we are able to work through it and I love the perspective that it brings on my life.

Fun Fact: Is the doppelgänger to Viggo Mortensen.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be work in a toy shop so I could get free toys (still kinda do tbf)

But first, the new crew learned why NASA astronauts sometimes do training programs on tall ships - to build teamwork in close quarters, manage high-risk environments, and practice executing critical operations while enduring extreme weather.

Why did you decide to join Neptun?
To challenge myself in a setting that’s requires me to be very close with other people and seeing how that dynamic turns out

What’s your favourite thing about Neptun so far?
How much our confidence has grown over the last couple of weeks and seeing how that translates to what we are doing. As individuals and as a team we are working and growing together so well

Fun Fact:
I’m in the process of buying some land on an island in Denmark where I plan to build and community with my partner and close friends to live together 🏡

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Pippi Longstocking, I dressed up as her for halloween every year

Seeing a whole bunch of strangers come together to work on something bigger than themselves, it feels magical

I like bugs so I wanted to be an entomologist 🐞
