𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀?
I go for loooong walks!! Rain, sun, or windy weather — it doesn’t matter. Other than that, I talk with my friends and coworkers sitting around me to get my frustrations out, and by doing so it helps, even if only slightly, with my creative block.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗴? – 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲?
I’ve been living in Viborg for 10 years now, and I’ve come to love a lot of things about it. The historical parts of the city and the cathedral are really beautiful. Events like the Christmas market and the summer music festivals are also amazing!
Any secrets?? Hmmm… not much of a secret if I tell it haha, but the secondhand stores here are really good. You can basically furnish your whole apartment for a great price.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀?
We have some really great projects going on - most of which we can’t say anything about! (sorry)

Our wish, as is the wish of many in our small industry, is to create a sustainable future for animation. We think Danish Animation has a lot to offer the wider industry - not just the great talent, but also a mindset that is uniquely collaborative and in our eyes, can lead to a much more rewarding, more productive work culture. The struggle is to bring enough turnover into the animation business, and we hope some of the new political initiatives will help get us there (like the Production Incentive Scheme).

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀?
I’m not sure we have the luxury of getting stuck! The Hydralab approach is very much about staying in motion and seeing the work from a distance as much as up close. When things start to get stale, we try to mix it up, or switch perspectives, or jump onto something else and come back later. There is a flow in the creative process, and working together with a team is as much about finding the pulse of the work process and helping nurture it, as it is about the products that we produce.

𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲?
Our open secret is maybe that our approach is centered around the idea that animation is fundamentally a work we do together, and that the most rewarding, and sustainable process is a shared one. That takes dedication to keep sight of, and we can sometimes lose it for moments in the thick of a project, but I think our experience shows that we wouldn't be able to deliver the quality of work we do without a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative workspace.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗽 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻?
I've been slinging homemade art, dice and merchandise over the counter at fan conventions since I was a teenager. After getting a BA in Graphic Storytelling, I needed a company model that reflected the wide variety of work I do. Writing, drawing, product design and manufacturing, motion graphics and much more if I could only find the time... The only real way of doing everything was self-employment. So that's what I've been up to, since I started my company back in fall. It allows me the freedom to sit and polish dice one day, then go work on a comic the next. And I think that variety is what keeps the work fresh and fun to me. I thrive in the creative chaos!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗴? – 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲?
Viborg has this unique ratio of creative people per capita compared to the average rent. I can't think of anywhere else where you can have such a huge, creative community and also survive on art fresh out of school. It's a luxury!

There's something very special and unique about the animation community in Viborg, and I knew I wanted to stay in that magic environment after I graduated. I realized during the Incubation program that Arsenalet was the place to be: a good mix of friendly creative business vibes and the international TAW* spirit I knew and loved.

A change of scenery, taking a train, going to the library, shopping in second-hand shops, resting, talking it through with colleagues. Allowing myself to make ugly art in my sketchbook. Trying new materials.

During the last couple of years VIborg has had a growing focus on game development and support of the game environment. Viborg a strong international environment that connects education, research and business, and is therefore a natural and strong platform for uniting talent, innovation and business within game development.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀?
Right now, I’m busy building the structural side of running a publishing business while also shaping my first list of books. Some days it doesn’t feel very creative at all. when the focus is on finances, IT structures, APIs from logistics centers, etc.
�But then there are the days when I read a first draft of a manuscript, see the first sketches for a new picture book, or reach an agreement with a foreign publisher about a Danish edition of a great story. Those are the days when it all makes sense.�
Long-term, the goal is to grow Bach & Co. into a mid-sized publisher known for strong collaborations – not only in the creative process, but also in how books are published, presented, and brought into the world.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀?
I try to return to conversation. Talking things through with creators, freelance editors, or trusted peers often reveals what’s actually at stake.� And if that doesn’t work, I step away for a bit. Shift my focus or take my dog for a walk by the lakes or through the old part of the city. Distance has a way of doing the thinking for you.

A huge congratulations to the team at Tumblehead to be named a Gazelle company 2025 by Børsen. We at Arsenalet are proud to house such a dedicated company!

Vi er rigtig glade og stolte over, at Børsen har udnævnt os til Gazelle i år. Det betyder meget for os. Især fordi det bygger på flere års stabil vækst og masser af hårdt arbejde fra hele teamet.

Vi har været heldige at samarbejde med nogle fantastiske kunder og partnere, og uden jer var vi aldrig nået hertil. Tusind tak for opbakningen og for at være med til at gøre Tumblehead til det, det er.
