🌿💚 A beautiful day of learning, sharing, and connecting with nature at Taíno Farm!

A huge thank you to for choosing to visit us and bringing your wonderful children to the farm. We feel truly blessed to have welcomed you all!

Your students were exceptional. They listened with curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and shared their own experiences with us. It was wonderful to see how much they appreciated our organic farming practices and the beauty of sustainable living.

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. Education goes beyond the classroom, and sometimes the best lessons happen with our hands in the soil and our feet on the earth. 🌱

POV: Forest school life 🌿🎣

A classroom with no walls.

Today the kids were fishing in the pond, catching, releasing, observing, and learning about the fish up close. Some even came along for the day to study and feed them.

This is what learning looks like at Blossom Forest School at Taino Farm.

Get outside. Get curious. Get your hands dirty. 🌱

🌱 What if kindergarten was actually meant to be… a garden of children?

The word kindergarten literally comes from the idea of a children’s garden.

A place where little humans are supposed to grow.
To explore.
To get dirty.
To climb.
To run.
To touch things.
To ask a million questions.
To fall down and get back up.
To experience the world with their whole bodies.

And yet somehow, we’ve built a world where children are expected to sit still for hours, stare at walls, follow bells, and learn about life mostly through a screen, a worksheet, or a textbook.

Then we wonder why so many kids struggle to fit into that environment.

And I’m not saying ADHD isn’t real. It absolutely is.

But I do think we should ask ourselves an uncomfortable question:

Are we sometimes treating normal childhood behaviours as problems simply because they don’t fit inside the classroom?

Maybe some kids don’t need another four walls.

Maybe they need four acres. 🌿

Maybe that energy isn’t something to suppress.
Maybe it needs somewhere to go.

Let them run.
Let them climb.
Let them build.
Let them get muddy.
Let them be loud.
Let them be curious.
Let them be wild.

Because children aren’t meant to be products coming off an educational assembly line.

They’re meant to bloom. 🌱

And that’s exactly why we built Blossom the way we did. ❤️

🐥 Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference. 💛

Today, the kids saw a truck full of baby chicks being sold on the roadside—little chicks dyed bright colors to attract children. They immediately wanted to help, so together we brought about 20 of them home to Taino Farm. 🌿🐥

Now they have a safe place to grow, plenty of space to explore, and a chance to live the happy farm life they deserve—no more sitting in a hot truck.

What started as a simple request from the kids became a beautiful lesson in compassion, responsibility, and caring for another living being.

This is what absolute joy looks like. 💚🌿

No screens. No schedules. No worries. Just a big smile, a little sunshine, and the freedom to simply be a kid. ☀️

Moments like this are exactly why we believe children deserve spaces where they can run, explore, get messy, laugh loudly, and reconnect with nature.

Sometimes, happiness really is this simple. 🌱✨
