Catalina Island, also called Ikiita Island 🏝️(also called Toeya by the local indigenous people), is an island located in the Caribbean or Antillean Sea just a few kilometers southeast of Hispaniola Island south of the province of La Romana that is part of the Dominican Republic. It takes 45 minutes to get to La Romana and from La Romana it takes half an hour to get to Catalina Island 🏝️ It has an approximate area of 9.6 square kilometers and is uninhabited.

It is a perfect area for snorkeling 🤿 and enjoying the tranquility of its virgin beaches.
