I recently had the chance to spend some time exploring Grenada, and I came home with so many great memories of this beautiful island. While the beaches are certainly incredible, there is so much more to Grenada than just the coastline. Here are a few of the experiences that stood out to me during my time there.

The Food!
One of the things I really loved about Grenada was the food. Everything felt so fresh and full of flavour, and I loved getting to try the local dishes and experience a little more of the island through its food. You definately need to get off of the resort and try the local restaurants.

Belmont Estate
I really enjoyed my visit here. Walking around the estate and learning about Grenada’s cocoa production gave me a completely different perspective on the island. And of course, getting to taste the chocolate was a pretty nice bonus!

The River Antoine Rum Distillery
Visiting River Antoine was such a unique experience. It’s a real step back in time, it was started in 1785! I loved seeing how traditional methods are still used to make their rum. Definitely one of those places that gives you a feel for Grenada’s history and culture.

Flying to Carriacou...WOW!
The flight over to Carriacou was an experience in itself. It's only a short flight from the mainland of Grenada. The views of the islands and turquoise water from above were incredible. The people were warm and welcoming and also resilient as they are still recovering from hurricane Beryl. There is so much to see around the island, boating, diving, sea turtles & exploring!

My time in Grenada gave me a chance to see a side of the island that you simply don’t get from a resort. From the food and local culture to the history, people and beautiful little islands just beyond the coast, there is so much to discover. I left with a much better understanding of Grenada and definitely a desire to go back!

Let me know if you are interested in planning an exceptional getaway to Grenada.

Ready to trade the typical Caribbean vacation for something a little more extraordinary?

Imagine arriving by private catamaran to your own private island in Antigua, where days revolve around turquoise water, barefoot living, incredible food and absolutely nowhere you need to be.

Jumby Bay Island is one of those places that feels like a true escape. And right now, there’s an added perk: stay five nights and your fifth night is complimentary when booked by December 11.

If a private island escape sounds like your kind of vacation, let’s talk...

Named for the playful spirits believed to roam the West Indies, Jumby Bay Island is sure to enchant. Situated on a 300-acre private island with two white-sand beaches, the resort offers plenty of playful diversions, from snorkeling and sailboarding to biking and sunset cocktail cruises. The Dominican Republic is one of my favourite options for travellers looking for great value without sacrificing beautiful beaches and resort experiences.

Punta Cana offers endless stretches of white sand, while areas like Samana bring a more natural and relaxed side of the island.

I love how versatile it is for couples, families, and groups alike.

A recent client told me, “The beach walks every morning felt like something out of a postcard.”

Ireland is the kind of destination that feels welcoming from the moment you arrive.

I love recommending it to clients who enjoy dramatic coastal scenery, charming villages, and experiences that feel deeply connected to history and culture.

From castle stays to drives along the Wild Atlantic Way, every day feels different.

One client said, “The scenery along the cliffs completely took our breath away.”

St. Maarten is perfect for travellers who want a mix of beautiful beaches, vibrant nightlife, and easy island exploration.

I love that you can experience both the Dutch and French sides in one trip, each with its own personality and atmosphere.

It is a fantastic choice for clients who enjoy great dining and variety beyond the resort.

One couple shared, “Watching the planes land at Maho Beach was such a fun experience we will never forget!”

Sandals Royal Barbados is my recommendation for couples who want elevated luxury with a sleek, contemporary edge.

The rooftop infinity pool, bowling alley, and high-end suites make it perfect for travellers who want Barbados sophistication wrapped in a fully all-inclusive experience.

One of the things that stood out to me most about Grenada was the food!

Some of the great foods I tried are: Oil Down (Grenada's national dish), Callaloo, Lambi, Cocoa Tea, and NUTMEG ICECREAM & chocolate. Also all kinds of BBQ including ribs, steak & jerk chicken. The local caught fish & shrimp were delicious!

Highlights were the 5-course chef curated meal at Dexter's, and the family style lunch at a beach restaurant on Carriacou called Tim's Sunset Beach Bar. Dodgy Dock Street Food on Wednesday nights is a must experience night when traveling to Grenada.

Local fare was some of the best island food I've ever had. Lunch at the Belmont Estate was enjoyed with amazing views, food and company, the atmosphere of Aquarium restaurant on Grand Anse...amazing!

Fresh food is a way of life. Many ingredients are grown locally, from tropical fruits and vegetables to the island's famous spices, cocoa and herbs. Meals often feature freshly caught seafood, farm-to-table ingredients and flavours that reflect the island's rich culture and traditions.

If you appreciate authentic cuisine made with fresh, organic ingredients, Grenada is a destination that delivers!

𝗠𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮

I recently spent several days exploring Grenada and its sister island, Carriacou, as a guest of the Grenada Tourism Authority.

I visited beaches, resorts, restaurants, historical sites, waterfalls, spice plantations and local communities to learn what makes this destination different from everywhere else in the Caribbean.

Grenada surprised me in the best way!

It's authentic, naturally beautiful and still feels wonderfully undiscovered. The #1 best thing I experienced were the people, welcoming and warm-like an instant Caribbean family :)

If you've been looking for a Caribbean destination that's about more than just sitting by a pool, let's talk about Grenada.

Stay tuned for more...
