Dear friends,
A few days ago, we posted about the puppy we found in the middle of the field. It seemed like someone left her there on purpose, knowing that we will not leave her there to die and will take care, no matter what. Leslie, the owner , had a feeling there might be more, she said - there probably are at least 2 or 3 puppies more somewhere, so we took our big dogs to help find them, and she was right, we found 3 more little puppy girls and one, unfortunately, was already dead :( ... but the other two are now with their sister, safe and sound at our ranch.
Now we have 15 doggies! The area allows it and with the help of our volunteers taking care of the dogs, cats , horses and goats, we are managing so far. We all enjoy taking part in feeding, bathing, playing and loving each animal, but now, with the family growing so large in the past couple of months, it has been hard coming up with resources to treat all of them.
We continuously need medicine for fleas and ticks, food costs are growing , and need to hire a caretaker who would give full attention to them, as volunteers obviously come and go and have other tasks, too.
With your help we can give proper care for all these lovely animals. We didn't plan to become an animal shelter, but we're getting there....
Anything you could donate will be very, very much appreciated and will make a huge difference in all of their lives. We are asking for donations of dog or cat food, flea and tick shampoo and medications, old towels or blankets, dog beds of all sizes and of course financial donations are also accepted.
