Our next tour and lunch will be February 10th at noon Lunch at 12:30.
We are pleased to announce after searching for a suitable and available downtown option for Cuenca Independent Living Plus to open, we have a fantastic option in a brand-new 29 room facility that will be dedicated to our vision for it.
It has been lovingly restored and doubled in size over the last 5 years. It is located just 2 blocks from Parque Calderon, has an elevator, indoor pool, Gym, Sauna, and two hot tubs, roof top deck and an espresso machine and a piano. There is also a kitchenette for you to make your own coffee tea or toast should you want to. Though we will be on hand all day to do this for you as you wish. It also features 4 lovely dining areas one of which is furnished in keeping with the 1850s style where you will be transported back to a long bygone era. There is one suite with a full kitchen and views which will be extra.
The monthly cost, all inclusive, will range from $1,350 and $1550 a month depending on room size and whether you elect 2 or 3 meals a day. There is also ample storage space available. The two penthouse units will be extra. There will be a $250 per person discount for shared rooms.
All prices include rent, 2 or 3 meals a day and gas, water, electricity and internet and butler/ concierge service and 24/7 English speaking staff. It will also include one cleaning and laundry service per week. (Sheets and towels only. Clothing can be laundered for a small extra fee). Extra laundry and cleaning can be arranged. There will be a meal credit system for missed meals. Back up meals are available if don't like the cuisine offered that night. Monthly cost will be reduced by $75 if you don’t eat breakfast and you will save $100 a month if you don’t eat either lunch or dinner.

The tour is free but if you want to stay after the tour for $8 there will be a meal made by Bodhi Kroll and his assistant Cesar Pulido. We will be making General Tsao's Chicken with a side of broccoli and carrot, juice and a dessert of fresh fruit and homemade yogurt.

Cuenca Independent living (Plus) will be in the lovely Historic Center of Cuenca, Ecuador. The plus refers to added services we can offer as needed to help you stay independent as long as possible. We can discuss the details of this in person.
Live in the lap of luxury with your own personal chef, Bodhi Kroll, and his team, will coordinate 3 meals a day with his team. We will plan menus 1 month in advance for your approval and the menu can include American, English, Thai food, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Indian, Mexican, Italian, fusions and special requests. There will also be 3 standard back-up meals if you don’t want the meal offered that day. Breakfast will be American style. Snacks will also be available upon request. 2 meal a day plans are also available for those that don't eat 3 meals a day.
About the food: I don’t use any synthetic vegetable oils or margarine, meals feel lighter with Natural oils like Ghee (clarified butter). Olive oil mayonnaise, for instance.
Also, I am a fermentation enthusiast so there will always be sauerkraut on hand, fermented vegetables, all of which are super healthy for the digestive system. I also specialize in making healthy carbonated drinks with Apples or Grapes and combos like Grape/ Maracuya which are among the tastiest things you can imagine. Like a grape soda but good for you.
Lastly, I have a 125-year old sourdough starter from 1897 which to Alaska with the Gold Rush. With this amazing slice of history we make amazing pancakes This amazing starter has been passed down and has been in my family for almost 40 years. We also like to have some homemade apple cider vinegar fermenting at all times for amazing healthy salad dressings.
All units are totally furnished, or bring your own furniture if you like. All units have a safebox and TV.
We have a meal credit system for missed meals which means you can invite friends to eat some of your missed meals.
Catered parties for your friends available upon request. Or invite a friend to join you for lunch or dinner for just $6-$8. depending on what the meal is.

We will commence everything when we have a minimum of 8 sign-ups. We will be touring Wednesdays at noon with lunch at 12:45. February the 10th 2021 is our next tour.
