Some cities win you over the moment you arrive. Cuenca is one of them.

Nestled in the Ecuadorian Andes, this colonial city a UNESCO World Heritage Site blends cobblestone streets, centuries old churches, and colorful facades that feel like they’re straight out of another era. 🏛️✨

But Cuenca is more than just its historic center. It’s the Tomebamba River winding beneath its bridges, markets overflowing with flowers and Panama hats, and that unhurried energy the city carries without even trying.

Wander past the blue domed Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, watch artisans at work in workshops that have barely changed in generations, or slow down at a hidden café where time seems to stretch a little. And just a short trip away, Cajas National Park awaits, with its high altitude lagoons and páramo landscapes that feel almost otherworldly.

Come discover it with Responsible Travel and explore a different side of the Ecuadorian Andes. 🌿

Some places grab you the second you arrive. 🌿

July is a beautiful time to visit Cuyabeno. The forest is at its greenest, the rivers wind through thick, lush vegetation, and every canoe ride comes with a bit of mystery you never quite know what you’ll run into. Monkeys swinging through the trees, colorful birds overhead, caimans lurking near the banks, and every once in a while, a pink river dolphin surfacing out of nowhere.

The heat and humidity of the jungle make everything feel alive the sounds, the movement, even the air itself. Time moves differently here, slower, and that slowness is exactly what lets you connect with nature in a way you rarely get to experience.

Maybe July is the perfect moment to let the Amazon surprise you.

Come experience it with Responsible Travel and find out what traveling really means. 🐒🌿✨

The Andes teach you to move differently.

Every trail here has its own rhythm. Some stretches push you to keep climbing, while others make you want to stop, take a breath, and just take in how massive these mountains really are.

Trekking isn’t about proving how far you can push yourself. It’s about listening to your body, respecting your own pace, and letting the journey unfold the way it needs to.

With every step, the landscape shifts and so do you.

Walk the Andes with Responsible Travel and experience adventure at a pace that’s truly your own.

Good energy starts at home and for us, home is the office where every trip we plan comes to life. 🌿

Last week we paused to do something we don’t often talk about: a traditional cleansing ceremony, right in our workspace. Say thank you for how far this team has come, and step into what’s next with a clearer, calmer mind.

It sounds simple, but it changed the mood in the room. And we think that matters because the energy we carry in our office is the same energy we hope shows up in every trip we help create across South America.

We’re grateful for the growth, proud of this team, and genuinely excited for what’s ahead.

Travel with purpose. Travel with Responsible Travel.

Bolivia, where the Altiplano comes alive 🦩

There’s a corner of the Bolivian Altiplano where lagoons shift color depending on the light, the wind, and the minerals carried in the water. A volcanic landscape that feels like something from another planet, yet is teeming with life.

In the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, Andean flamingos gather in these waters to feed, bringing movement and color to a land shaped by altitude, silence, and vastness.

Mountains, geysers, horizons that seem to stretch on forever... it’s a place that’s hard to put into words, and one that’s absolutely worth experiencing in person.

At Responsible Travel, we help make that happen walking through these landscapes, breathing that thin mountain air, and seeing with your own eyes something photos never quite capture.

Write to us and let’s start planning your journey. 🏔️🦩✨

Did you know Galapagos is one of the few places on Earth where you can observe wildlife so up close? 🐢🌊

It's not just about seeing giant tortoises, marine iguanas or unique seabirds. It's about understanding, learning and contributing to the conservation of these extraordinary ecosystems.

During this four-day island-hopping journey, 43 participants lived a regenerative experience combining field activities with the study of microplastics and their impact on marine ecosystems.

Traveling regeneratively means going beyond simply visiting a destination: it's about connecting with nature, learning from the local environment and leaving a positive impact with every experience.
