🌊 Grégory cruised the western Galapagos archipelago on our yacht Cachalote Explorer. He wrote a beautiful article about his experience - He said about his trip, “The Galapagos Islands are a true natural gem, renowned for their unique biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes. I returned from this trip thrilled, having encountered iconic species such as marine iguanas and giant tortoises, and time spent in crystal-clear waters teeming with fish, sharks, and sea lions. Every day was incredible.”

✍️ Here’s his feedback about cruising on our first class liveaboard yacht Cachalote Explorer:

“For exploring the Galapagos in a small group, the Cachalote Explorer is an excellent compromise between comfort, authenticity, and immersion. This 16-passenger, 8-cabin yacht offers a friendly atmosphere, pleasant common areas, and everything you need to fully enjoy the excursions: snorkeling equipment, kayaks, open decks for observing wildlife, and a daily briefing with a naturalist guide.

I was in cabin number 8, the smallest on the boat. A compact space with bunk beds and a private bathroom, ideal for relaxing after hikes, panga trips, or snorkeling sessions. Despite its small size, it offered all the necessary privacy and basic comforts, exactly what you need for an exploration cruise. And besides, I was alone in my cabin, so it wasn’t too cramped.

The Cachalote Explorer’s “small boat” format allows for quick landings due to the small group size. The result: more time on the islands, more encounters with iconic wildlife, and a true immersion in the archipelago’s volcanic landscapes.” [translated from French]

🐢 Incredible conservation success story in Galápagos! For the first time in 180 years, giant tortoises are walking the landscapes of Floreana Island 🌵✨
