Fun Facts about marine iguanas

-They can stop their heartbeat
Something really awesome is that iguanas can stop their heartbeat for up to 45 minutes, whenever they feel threatened by sharks which can hear their heartbeat at a distance of up to 3 meters!
-They turn rainbow colors during mating season
Male marine iguanas turn into blue, pink, green, and red colors during mating season to attract females. They turn black again once the mating season is over.
