🥾 The volcano towering over the city. Reachable by cable car + hike, the 4,700m summit offers one of the most stunning panoramic views over Quito and the surrounding Andes

⛪ The largest neo-Gothic basilica in South America. Climb up to the towers for a breathtaking view over Quito, and get a little thrill crossing the hanging walkways (not for the faint of heart 👀)

🌍 One foot in each hemisphere! This monument marks the equatorial line (a few meters off from the true GPS-measured line right next door)

🏛️ Right in the heart of Plaza Grande, this colonial building now houses shops, cafés, and galleries. Perfect for a break after exploring the historic center

🕊️ The beating heart of colonial Quito, surrounded by the presidential palace, the cathedral, and the archbishopric. The best spot to feel the city’s pulse

✨ The most lavish church in the historic center. Over 7 tons of gold cover the baroque interior, a visual shock worth experiencing at least once

🌿 A green oasis in the middle of Parque La Carolina. Orchids, Andean and Amazonian plants, a nature break right in the city center

As one of Ecuador’s most iconic volcanoes, Cotopaxi rises above the páramo landscape with breathtaking views, fresh mountain air, and a sense of adventure around every corner.
