I clearly remember this dive site, where strong currents converged, creating an active feeding ground for sharks. The conditions required constant awareness and controlled finning to maintain position in the water column. Hammerhead and Galápagos sharks moved steadily through the current, taking advantage of the flow.

After an extended period observing the sharks, I heard the repeated sound of the guide’s rattle, signaling the need to descend slightly and increase our swimming effort to reposition safely within the current. It was at that moment, just a few meters away, that a massive silhouette emerged from the blue—its size comparable to a bus. The whale shark had appeared 😍.
