Darwin’s Arch may be gone. But Darwin remains one of the most extraordinary places on Earth to dive. 🦈
On May 17, 2021, the natural rock bridge near Darwin Island collapsed into the Pacific following natural erosion, leaving behind two towering formations now often nicknamed the “Pillars of Evolution.”
For divers, however, the story of Darwin has always been about what happens below the surface.
Located in the remote northern reaches of the Galapagos Archipelago, the waters around Darwin are famous for extraordinary marine encounters, especially pelagic species. 🐋🦈
