Meet your young guides and future friends, Nina & Indy! At 8 & 6 years old, they are part of our team at Puka Wasi Tena Worldschool Hub. They are the inspiration behind what we do! Our children, Nina & Indy are Kichwa & U.S. American. They speak English and Spanish fluently and are currently in the process of learning Kichwa their father Puka’s native language. They bring fresh energy, grace, knowledge, and cultural connection to our worldschool hub as they are both learners and little teachers sharing what they have learned and are learning about their Kichwa culture, the Amazon jungle, and living life and their passions to the fullest.

At Puka Wasi Tena, we bring the ancestral to life. Here, our retreat head chef, Lethy, demonstrated and then had retreat participants make their own maito leaf wrapped tilapia for dinner.

Would you like to learn how to wrap your own fish, and then grill it? We can teach you how to cook in with an ancestral style at Puka WasiTena.
