hocolate cake! The best guides in Ecuador. River People was established in 2002. It now is one of the most popular rafting companies in Tena. River People is owned and run by a river-loving family who moved to Ecuador from Ireland over 20 years ago. They have some of the most experienced guides in the country and are fluent in Spanish and English. River People also runs the largest number of rivers in the Tena area. Our family moved to Ecuador in 1993 and fell in love with the rivers around Tena. In 2002, after working for the only raft company in the area (which had just been sold) we started River People. We’ve run every river in the immediate area and many others throughout Ecuador.

🌳✨ Jungle trekking with the River People was like stepping into a different world. Rain gave way to adventure, leading us to magical swimming holes and muddy pathways only jungle books could describe. We explored caves, indulged in local culture, and swam like Mogli under waterfall sprays. Sandals and smiles led the way, while our guides (proudly from Ireland!) filled the journey with laughter and lore. Each trek was a story, etched in the mud. Ready to write your own? 🌿🚶‍♂️
