🌍 AirBaltic Cancels Thousands of Summer Flights Due to Engine Maintenance Delays ✈️

LONDON, Jan 2 (Reuters) – AirBaltic has announced the cancellation of 4,670 flights this summer, citing inspection and maintenance delays by engine supplier Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of RTX. This decision impacts 19 routes, with reduced flight frequencies on 21 others.

The airline, along with others operating Airbus planes equipped with Pratt & Whitney engines—such as Wizz Air—is facing challenges with grounded aircraft caused by ongoing maintenance issues.

AirBaltic deeply regrets the inconvenience caused to its passengers and is working to provide alternative travel solutions where possible.

🌍✈️ Cost of Air Tickets Set to Rise – Here's What You Need to Know!

Planning your next trip? Be prepared for a higher travel budget as air ticket prices for domestic, SAARC, and international destinations are on the rise. Here's a quick breakdown of the changes coming your way:

📍 Domestic Flights: Excise duty will increase from Tk500 to Tk700.
