We run private tours & shore excursions of Tallinn and its surroundings. Hi! We are Maarja and Jüri. We offer an alternative to the group tours.

We will meet you at your hotel, Tallinn cruise ship terminal or ferry terminal, depending on your travel arrangements. In our travels, we´re often moved by hospitality and warmth of people wherever we go. For us, hosting a private tour is a way of giving back some of the love we´ve received. So what to expect?:

Tall Hermann and Pilsticker, two defence towers of the imposing Toompea Castle, date back to 14th and 15th centuries.

The former was innovative in different ways.
It had a heat storage hypocaust system, making life more comfortable for the guards.
At the connection point of Tall Hermann tower and the western wall of the castle was a toilet (aka garderobe), protruding from the exterior wall.

Both facilities were supposedly (one of) the first of their kind in Tallinn and served as models for future constructions…

At the heart of Telliskivi Creative City are two great places not to be missed by photography enthusiasts: Fotografiska Museum, and Juhan Kuus Documentary Photo Centre. The latter currently exhibits images taken by Claus Rohland, an acclaimed Danish artist.
We highly recommend this experience and love the title as much as the exhibition itself: “It is the traveller only who is foreign”.

An afternoon hike to Nelijärve-Jäneda. We stretched our legs with a lovely walk, found a beautiful spring and enjoyed our sandwiches by one of the lakes.
This district can easily be visited without a car, by train from Tallinn.

Port Noblessner.
When businessmen Emanuel Nobel and Arthur Lessner established here a submarine shipyard back in 1912, could they guess that by the summer of 2025🙂 their creation has evolved into one of the most modern and relaxing areas of Tallinn?

Last weekend Open Farm Days was held for the 11th time. A great opportunity to get up close to animals, birds and plants. Besides typical farms, a few unique country homes participated.

Today morning at Telliskivi - a former industrial area where locomotives were made and maintained as early as 1870-s.
Since late 1950-s, rectifiers, power converters and a variety of other mechanical devices were produced in Kalinin factory, as it was called back then.
Now? Over 300 creative companies and NGO’ s. Indie shops, galleries, bakeries and restaurants. Culture and business entwined together.
