Developing and Delivering a Training of Trainers (ToT) Module on Smart Building Technology Management Systems / Building Automation Systems (BAS) in Egypt
Project: Skills4Trends (P 1021) – Partner Africa Project

Location: Egypt (Sadat City-Monufia and Alexandria, Governorates, Egypt)

Duration: 20th August – 30th October 2024 (Up to 80 working hours)
Background:

The Internationaler Bund (IB) and IHK-Projektgesellschaft Ostbrandenburg (IHK-PG) are implementing the Skills4Trends project in Egypt, focusing on skills development and employment promotion. We seek a qualified expert to develop and deliver a training of trainers (ToT) module on Smart Building Technology Management Systems / Building Automation Systems (BAS) for electrical trainers affiliated to the Sadat City Investors Association (SCIA) and Alexandria Business Association – Vocational Training and Employment Center (ABA-VTEC).
Objectives:

· Develop and deliver a comprehensive ToT module focused on Smart Building Technology Management Systems / Building Automation Systems (BAS) for a group of up to eight electrical trainers (the training will take place in Sadat City, Manufia Governorate).

· Providing the participating trainers with a deep understanding of smart home technologies, principles, applications, and industry-standard protocols, focusing on the KNX standard widely used in building automation.
Build practical BAS competency by equipping trainers with the practical skills to install, configure, program, troubleshoot, and maintain common smart home devices and systems.

· Promote effective delivery by of training by improving the pedagogical skills of trainers to enable them to deliver engaging, interactive, and practical training on smart home automation and technologies to future electricians and smart building professionals.

· Promote the sustainability of the program in at ABA-VTEC and SCIA.

- Intensive Exam Preparation course according to the latest body of knowledge API ICP.

Core Objectives
This training course will prepare an Inspector to complete the API 570 Authorised Piping Inspector Certification Examination by thoroughly reviewing the API 570 Standard, API 571, API 574, API 577, API 576, API 578 the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections V and IX, and the ASME Code for Pressure Piping ASME B16.5, ASME B31.3 and ASME PCC-2. Mock examination questions meeting the appropriate specific examination criteria will be utilised to simulate actual API test conditions, providing a practical study base.
