Find out more about a place of marvel and mysticism — of modern hospitality and ancient lore — and how you can visit and share the love I have for this beautiful country and warm-hearted people. Having been warned by all our friends about the dangers of visiting Egypt in a time of political instability, we left Australia with some trepidation. We flew in to Cairo and immediately made our way south
to Aswan where we took a 3 day cruise down the Nile which allowed us to take in many wonderful sites and Temples. We also visited the White Dessert and spent 2 days in Cairo exploring the pyramids. Looking back, I realise just how special it was to have Sarwat and Jane as our tour guides, looking after us 24/7. They are so knowledgeable and took care of every fine detail in such a professional way. I was so impressed at how well organised everything was. Having them meet us at the airport and put us back on the plane at the end of it, not having to wait around for taxi's, being able to eat local food at places that had fabulous food that didn't make us sick and being able to go places that other tourists don't even know about made it very special. At no time did we ever feel unsafe or in any kind of danger. Many of my friends ask me what what the best part of the trip. It was all so incredible. Egypt is an amazing country and I feel very fortunate to have had the privilege to experience just a tiny bit of what it has to offer."
