Behold, the temple that was almost lost forever! 😳

Back in the days after the construction of Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple was about to sink into the waters of the Nile River. 🌊

Thus, efforts were made by the Egyptian government and UNESCO and were able to move the temple to Agilkia Island by cutting it into pieces. 🧩

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has announced of:
"The discovery of Mustaba, a royal doctor from the old state of Saqara"
The new discovery was described by the ministry to be of "Unique engravings and drawings decorate the door of Al-Mustaba.
South of Saqara archaeological area where the tombs of senior statesmen from the Old State era are buried, the French-Swiss joint archaeological mission, lined with milk brick with a fake door with distinctive carvings and drawings, discovered a doctor called "T**i Nab Fu", who lived during the reign of King Pepe II and held a complete series of titles Related to his noble jobs among them are the chief doctors of the palace, and the priest of the goddess Sirkat. And the "Goddess Wizard Circus" is a specialist in poisonous scorpion or snake bites and a great dentist, and director of plant medicine."

Continuing in its announcement that "Dr. Muhammad Ismail Khaled, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Archaeological, stressed the importance of this discovery as it is a mission to add to the history of the archaeological region, revealing new aspects of the culture of daily life in the era of the Old State through texts and drawings found on the walls of the Mastaba.
On his side, Dr. Philip Columbier, head of the Archaeological Mission, clarified that preliminary studies indicated that the inscription was likely stolen in earlier eras, but the walls remained intact bearing engraved and beautifully painted carvings, with one of the cemetery's walls carved the shape of a false door in bright colors, as pictured Views of many furniture and funerals, as well as a list of the names of the victims, Afriz has the surnames and the name of the owner of the cemetery, the ceiling of the cemetery was also painted red in the shape of granite stones, and in the middle of the ceiling an inscription bearing the name and surnames of the owner of a cemetery.

He added that the French-Swiss archaeological mission began excavations in the part of the graves of state employees, located behind the funeral collection of King Pepe, the first ruler of the Sixth Dynasty of the Old Country, and that of his wives south of the area of Saqara, since 2022, during which it investigated the discovery of the famous Mustaba of Minister Weni, which He is famous for the longest autobiography of one of the great statesmen in the old state, whose texts are recorded on the walls of his second tomb located in Abydus area of Sohaj."

Finally, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities further clarified that "A joint French-Swiss archaeological mission has uncovered the mastaba tomb of a royal physician named “Teti Neb Fu” in the southern part of Saqqara, dating back to the Old Kingdom during the reign of King Pepi II.
The tomb is adorned with stunning carvings and vibrant artwork, including a beautifully painted false door and scenes of funerary offerings. Teti Neb Fu held prestigious titles such as Chief Palace Physician, Priest and “Magician” of the Goddess Serket (expert in venomous bites) , Chief Dentist and Director of Medicinal Plants
Despite evidence of ancient looting, the tomb’s walls remain intact, offering a rare glimpse into daily life and cultural practices during the Old Kingdom. The team also discovered a stone sarcophagus with inscriptions bearing the physician's name and titles.
This incredible find adds to Saqqara's rich legacy as one of Egypt's most significant archaeological sites."
