The Temple of Medinet Habu, or the Temple of Ramses III, or the Temple of Millions of Years,
Egypt
Upper Egypt
Luxor city
West of the River Nile
Thebes Funerary City
Funeral Temple
Was built in the city of Thebes on the West Bank 3,200 years ago. It is considered one of the most beautiful and largest temples in Egypt, well preserved, preserving its colors from thousands of years ago. It is 400 meters long, 200 meters wide, and the length of the outer tower is about 18 meters. It was connected to the Nile River via a canal that facilitated access to the distance. Ramses III recorded all his victories over the Sea Peoples and the Libyans in it, as the king maintained the expansion of Egypt’s borders as they were in the era of his ancestors, and prosperity and the flourishing of the arts prevailed during his reign. However, his life ended in a major tragedy in a conspiracy by palace women.
