Egypt has officially announced that Ramadan 2026 will begin on Thursday, February 19, marking the start of the holy month nationwide.

Dar Al-Iftaa confirmed the date after sighting the crescent moon on Tuesday, February 17. Ramadan will run for 30 days, with Eid Al-Fitr 2026 expected to fall on Saturday, March 21, depending on the sighting of the next crescent moon.
