New Open Position: Expedition Manager
Part-time position with a potential for full-time conversion
Job Description: As the primary point of contact for schools, the Expedition Manager owns the end-to-end lifecycle of multi-day student trips, from logistical planning to onsite ex*****on. This role demands, educational leadership, and rigorous safety management to deliver exceptional field and residential experiences. Beyond logistics, you will lead a team of activity specialists and retain ultimate accountability for the success, safety, and impact of every expedition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan & Coordinate Trips Logistics
• Manage Stakeholder Relations with Schools
• Insure Safety & Compliance
• Manage Resources & Equipment
• Handle Administrative Duties
• Lead on-ground Trips
• Supervise Students & their Wellbeing
• Deliver Educational Facilitation
• Taking Critical Decisions & Problem-Solving
Qualifications & Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in expedition leadership, outdoor education, or a similar role involving multi-day, overnight travel with youth/teen groups.
• Age 25 or above
• Certifications: Standard First Aid Certification, Advanced First Aid certification preferred
• Successful passing of enhanced background check
• Skills: Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Mindset: A genuine passion for educational travel and a “can-do” approach to working in demanding, remote environments.
Note: All applicants selected for the position will be required to attend a mandatory, five-day, in-person training program as a final condition of employment. Only candidates who successfully complete and pass this training will be considered for the position.
