Postponement of the Official Opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum to the Last Quarter of This Year

In light of the current regional developments, it has been decided to postpone the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, originally scheduled for July 3rd.

A new date for the official opening will be set during the last quarter of this year and will be announced in due course after coordinating with all relevant parties to ensure the event highlights Egypt's rich cultural heritage and significance on the international stage.

This decision also stems from the national responsibility of the Egyptian state and its commitment to considering the ongoing events in the region, with hopes from Egypt and the Egyptian people for peace to prevail worldwide.

The Grand Egyptian Museum will continue to welcome visitors as part of its soft opening phase until the newly scheduled date for the official inauguration later this year.
