🇪🇬✨ Alexandria welcomed two major leaders, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron.

From a scenic walk along the Alexandria Corniche to a fascinating stop at the historic Qaitbay Citadel, the visit highlighted Egypt’s deep history and rich cultural heritage. They also heard detailed briefings about the underwater archaeological excavations related to the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria—and explored treasures recovered from different eras. 🏛️🌊

After the tour, President El-Sisi hosted a dinner banquet in honor of the French president, the accompanying delegation, and the heads of delegations taking part in the inauguration of the new campus of Senghor University in Burj Al Arab. 🤝🍽️

At the event, both sides focused on strengthening cooperation between Egypt and France in areas including culture, tourism, antiquities, and the arts, and on supporting efforts to promote scientific and cultural collaboration across Francophonie member states. 🌍🇫🇷
