Starting 1 February 2026,travelers arriving in Egypt will no longer need to fill out paper arrival or departure cards. All Egyptian airports will switch to a fully digital immigration system designed to make entry and exit faster and easier.

Passenger information will be handled through a digital database connected to the Advanced Passenger Information system, allowing data to be reviewed in advance and reducing delays at passport control.

The move is part of a broader plan to make travel smoother and more comfortable for passengers. It aims to reduce crowding in arrival halls and speed up immigration procedures. Authorities are also considering expanding e-visa and visa on arrival services, along with improving airport facilities such as banking services and organized transportation inside terminals.
