Now this is a story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
So take a minute, just sit right there
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of the Nile’s warm air
In west Cairo, born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool
Playin’ football after school
When a couple of camels who were up to no good
Started raisin’ some dust in my neighbourhood
I got one little scare and my mum got stressed
She said, “You’re movin’ down south, near the pyramids’ crest!”
I begged and I pleaded day after day
But she packed my bags and sent me away
She gave me a hug and said, “Be fair, be kind,”
I put on my shades and said, “Alright, fine.”
First class ride, sun in the sky
Falafel in my hand, breeze blowin’ by
Is this what the life of royalty’s like?
Hmm… this might be alright!
I landed in Giza, heat was insane
Saw sphinxes, temples, history and fame
Pulled up to the Nile ‘bout seven or eight
And I yelled to the world, “Yo Pharaohs, I’m great!”
I looked at my kingdom, sand and detail
And I sat on my throne near the Nile trail
And that’s how I became, loud and clear,
The Prince of Egypt—yeah, I rule round here!

Egypt has officially completed the reconstruction of the second solar boat of Pharaoh Khufu, marking a major milestone in archaeological conservation. The boat, which dates back more than 4,000 years, was discovered buried in a sealed pit beside the Great Pyramid of Giza and remained untouched for millennia.

The restoration process took years of meticulous work by Egyptian archaeologists and conservators, who reassembled thousands of wooden fragments using original ancient techniques. The solar boats were believed to be ceremonial vessels, intended to carry the pharaoh on his journey with the sun god Ra in the afterlife.

This newly reconstructed boat offers fresh insight into ancient Egyptian shipbuilding, religious beliefs, and engineering skills during the Fourth Dynasty. It now stands as one of the most significant surviving examples of ancient maritime craftsmanship ever discovered.
