Step into the world of entrepreneurship today. A world of possibilities awaits. Established in 2015 as the evolution of the 2010-launched Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (EIP), the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) is a pioneer hub for all entrepreneurial stakeholders in Egypt and the MENA region. Since its establishment 10 years back, the center’s endeavors included promoting entrepreneurial education, endorsing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, offering capacity building opportunities for the region, and pioneering cutting-edge research. Being one of the initial entities in the Middle East to promote entrepreneurship, CEI has worked its way to marking its unique footprint in the field. Building on the center’s experience in inaugurating accelerators, supporting and spearheading the growth of startups, and linking the diverse groups constituting the entrepreneurial ecosystem, CEI vows to actively contribute to the advancement of entrepreneurship in the MENA region, empower its community with knowledge and know-how, and focus on identifying and filling the market gaps in the ecosystem.

Applications are now open for the Family Governance Training

Offered by the AUC Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and in partnership with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, this two day, interactive in-person training is designed to help family businesses strengthen governance, improve decision making, support family business alignment, and prepare for succession and generational transition.

Through practical frameworks, case-based learning, facilitated discussions, and group exercises, participants will examine how governance can support clearer roles, stronger alignment, and more prepared succession within their own family business contexts.

The training is tailored for family business owners, family members involved in ownership or management, next generation leaders, board members, senior executives, and professionals working on governance, succession, and strategic decision making.

Day Two of tazdaHER MENA – Women Leading Finance was all about connection, conversation, and finding the right match.

At AUC Tahrir Campus, mentors and mentees came together for three rotating rounds designed to move beyond introductions and create meaningful connections.

Matching Pod: Mentees brought real professional challenges into focused one-to-one conversations, gaining insights and perspectives from senior women leaders who could become their mentors.

Team Trivia: Mixed teams came together to explore the nine countries represented in the program and celebrate the diverse experiences of women shaping the financial sector across MENA.

Networking Station: Participants had the opportunity to connect across different career stages, professional backgrounds, and areas of expertise — creating new conversations and expanding their regional networks.

And this is just the beginning. What started in person now continues virtually through 32 sessions over the next seven months, combining learning, one-to-one mentorship, and professional networking.

Because the right match can be the start of a powerful leadership journey.

Funded through the SANAD Fund’s Advisory and Capacity Building arm, managed by Finance in Motion and implemented by AUC Egypt Women on Boards Observatory (WoB), managed by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at the AUC Onsi Sawiris School of Business, Egypt.
