In ancient Egyptian belief, the Feather of Ma’at symbolized truth, balance, and divine order.

After death, a person’s heart was weighed against this sacred feather in the Hall of Judgment.

If the heart was lighter than the feather, the soul was deemed pure and granted entry into the eternal afterlife.

But if it was heavier, it was devoured by Ammit — the fearsome guardian of divine justice.
